The 2017 Worldpay Everywoman in Retail Ambassador Programme has launched its search for the industry’s most inspiring female role models.
This year’s theme, Reinventing Retail, recognises technology and the role it has played in transforming the retail industry. This year’s 10th
anniversary programme is inviting nominations by and for women whose career triumphs have shown true vision and inspiration.
As the UK’s largest private sector employer, the retail industry is expected to increase its recruitment requirements by 14 per cent in 2017. Digital development is set to be a major part of this growth, with brands investing heavily to add value to customer experiences and increase the efficiency of operations within the business.
Retailers are already exploring enhanced shopping experiences such as personal recognition, digital wallets, artificial intelligence and robotics, all of which are set to further transform the way we shop.
Maxine Benson MBE, co-founder of everywoman, says, “We’re proud to have reached this ten-year milestone of celebrating women in retail. As we look back, it is fantastic to see what an impact this programme has had on the careers of our previous Ambassadors and how their success continues to grow.”
She continues, “A major focus for retailers is delivering the ideal customer service.
